AUPS operates a play volunteering scheme in collaboration with the Play Therapy team at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital (RACH).
What does it involve?
  • Play volunteers assist the play therapists in making children's time easier in hospital by providing families with support through play.

  • They may also be asked to assist with basic administrative tasks and cleaning of play equipment.

  • This is a brilliant and fun opportunity to gain experience of working with children and families in hospital!

Who can apply?
  • Applications open to Year 1 to Year 3 and intercalating medical students and PA students at the University of Aberdeen who are members of AUPS.

  • Spaces are limited, therefore, applications are judged and scored anonymously.

  • We will provide further information on the application process and the number of spaces available when applications reopen in September 2018.
